I’m Nico – Filmmaker, Diver, and Adventurer
My passion for the underwater world began at the age of seven and has never let go of me. Later, I brought a camera along—first for fun, then professionally. After studying film, I combined underwater cinematography with storytelling.
For over a decade, I have been working in the industry, continuously evolving and utilizing cutting-edge technology such as rebreathers and mixed gas diving. Whether it's small sets, large productions, documentaries, or commercials—I thrive on variety and am always open to new projects.

Talents out of water
Underwater cinematography is my specialty, but I also work as a cameraman on land, filming worldwide for documentaries, reports, and commercial productions. In addition, I create my own projects in collaboration with selected experts. These include the following productions:
Drone
Whether it's cameras, 3D printers, or drones – modern technology fascinates me and has become an essential part of my work. With several hundred flight hours of experience, I am proficient in operating a wide range of drone models, including the Inspire, Phantom, and Mavic series.
Talks
Thanks to my exciting and often adventurous work, I regularly give talks on various topics. Since 2021, I have had the honor of serving as a Canon Ambassador for Canon Europe, further deepening my passion for camera-related subjects. This role has given me the opportunity to speak on renowned international stages, including the Wildscreen Festival in Bristol and PHOTOPIA in Hamburg.
Workshops
I occasionally lead workshops and have been working with Canon in various roles since 2012. In addition to being a Canon Ambassador, I also serve as a trainer for the Canon Academy, sharing my expertise with professionals and enthusiasts alike.
